# How the biography is compiled.

A short method for the personal record: what is first-hand, what is checked against a public source, and what is left unpublished on purpose. 

The biography is compiled from Kaiser Khan’s first-hand chapters plus desk-checked public totals. DEC appeal figures match DEC reports, with a capture date. Photographs are archive files. Gaps are left empty rather than filled with round numbers. Organisation sites hold live programme facts.

## What goes into the biography?

Three layers. First, first-hand memory of rooms, productions, journeys and roles. Second, public documents for anything that looks like a statistic. Third, the organisation sites for facts that live there. 

## What is not used?

Gossip blogs, unsourced net-worth figures, and other people’s press releases restated as Kaiser’s achievements. 

## When does a date change?

dateModified and sitemap lastmod move only when the content of that page changes. A CSS tweak does not refresh the biography’s date. If a published figure later changes, the date moves and the [corrections log](/corrections) keeps the old wording. 

## Where does this method not apply?

It does not govern worldaidnetwork.org or worldanimalrescuenetwork.org, nor TravelShifu, Eye Health Guide or Celluloid Score. 

## How are photographs treated?

Archive files. Captions name who is pictured, and the occasion where we know it.
